The Yaounde Conference Centre staff carried out a sports walk, to the rhythm of the INJS brass band this Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 7:00 am. This activity was part of the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Yaounde Conference Centre.
Despite the distance, the Director General of Yaounde Conference Centre, Christophe Mien Zok, and his staff showed no signs of fatigue. “I am in good shape as the Yaounde Conference Centre. Especially after this sports walk. It was necessary to start with this physical fitness because it is always important to have a healthy body in a healthy mind. This was the objective of this walk to make sure that physically we will hold up throughout this week that is about to begin and that you already know the different joints. My state of mind is one of hope that everything will end well as it just started today. I have no reason to doubt that my collaborators and I, the institutions, and the partners who have agreed to accompany us, will keep up the pace. I believe that this morning’s march has just shown us that we still have some physical reserves to go to the end of this course on Friday, November 4, 2022,” he said.
At the end of the walk, the participants benefited from an awareness session on first aid in case of cardiac arrest. An initiative of the Cameroon Heart Foundation.
